the Sprout Umbrella concept allows the user to store the canopy and all the other hardware within the handle itself. Turning the knob on its face will unlock the inner mechanism, and as the knob slides down the umbrella, it will force the arms out through the top of the shaft. These arms are made from flexible plastic and can be bent as they exit the handle, pulling the canopy along. Opened fully, the knob is turned back to keep the umbrella locked open. Just remember to air it after use before storage.
